Charter school solutions seek to run schools in perpetuity. Independent school solutions operate outside public governance. If we are honest, charter schools represent a small (5%) share of all students in public education and have done little to help schools outside the tiny fraction of schools they serve. Matchbook however seeks to build the capacity of our public education system itself, starting at the very bottom. We seek not to see how many failing schools Matchbook can take over and run.  This would never scale to the breadth of schools in need of dramatic turnaround or transformation.  Rather, with a few “proof points” of our own, we seek to scale our model by scaling our methodology that turns around school performance dramatically by a competency-based, blended design through Spark learning management system. Learn more about our methodology.
